The Meeting Plate
2F Seacrest Building, Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., Libertad, Pasay City

Looking for restaurants to cater to a group reservation is one task I find really challenging. But, it doesn’t stop there. The affordability of the food also plays a major role in my restaurant-finding quest.

I’ve seen The Meeting Plate plenty of times since I pass by the café every night on my way home. So, when we were planning to have lunch, this was the venue I had in mind. I checked their menu to see if their food fits our budget. I then called them to inquire about having tables reserved for 12 pax.
I sent my colleagues copies of the menu for us to place our orders and have them ready before we arrive.
The place is simple. It has a few artsy decors on the walls, but that’s it. There was also a strong paint smell when we entered. An airconditioning unit is in place, but it wasn’t enough (although it wasn’t too hot either).
All the items on their menu are very affordable, and even includes a glass of iced tea.
Classic Burger P135
I ordered their classic burger for P135, which has a side of fries and a glass of iced tea. I also ordered their sour cream flavored fries for P55. The taste of the burger was okay. It was dry, but in terms of flavor, it wasn’t so bad. The flavored fries were also good but typical. If you’re looking for up for the spicy challenge, then I suggest that you have their chili cheese fries (I found it spicy, although I am not good at handling spicy food).
Service was slow. I think they are short in staff and kitchen tools (since our orders took time to arrive).
Judging from the pricing and the serving size of the food, I can say that I’ll probably be back. I’d like to try some more of their food and drinks next time.

My score:
Pricing – 4/5
Service – 2/5
 Ambiance – 3/5
Taste – 3/5
