Early Christmas Party at Sambokojin

by - Friday, December 07, 2018

We at the #WeLoveToEatPH community were planning an early Christmas party/ gathering to celebrate our shared love for food and the bond we created over it.

This year, thanks to the hardwork of the members who volunteered to arranged for the party to happen, we got to reserve a few tables at Sambokojin's EDSA Greenhills branch.

Sambokojin is a Japanese, Yakiniku buffet restaurant that uses smokeless grills.

The buffet is mostly composed of marinated meats for grilling. But like any other eat-all-you-can restaurants, they also have other Japanese dishes you can enjoy alongside your yakiniku.

Wings

Tempura
Gyoza

Yakitori
Fried Salmon Skin

Sushi

Mussels
After helping myself to some katsu, sashimi, and udon, I then started getting meats to grill. They have a lot of pork and beef items to choose from, but seafood lovers can also dig in to some shrimps, and mussels, among other things.

Sambokojin may be a Japanese buffet, but they do have some Korean dishes you can savor. I enjoyed dipping my yakiniku meats in soybean paste sauce, topped it with kimchi before wrapping it in lettuce. One thing to also look out for is their cheese bacon roll!

Their buffet also offers unlimited drinks (i.e. fruit shakes, iced tea, lemonade), which you have to order from their waiters.

For desserts, Sambokojin does have a few desserts on their shelves, but none of them looked very appetizing, which made me skip them and just have some scoops of ice cream. It's an area I think they can improve, but then people might not really be caring about desserts when they go to Sambokojin for yakiniku, so yah.

We enjoyed our time at Sambokojin. They have enough variety of food in store for their customers, and they do have delicious yakiniku. Their service just needs a little work, but overall, it was a seemingly good experience.
