We have to admit that we Filipinos have undeniably been addicted to BBQ places. We easily flock to the newest BBQ restaurants that open in our neighbourhood, especially when these restaurants offer all the meat you can grill.
Six Doors BBQ Buffet is one of the newest BBQ restaurants in town. But unlike the samgyupsal places we all learned to love, this one offers both raw and cooked food buffet style.
They also have various food to choose from, like these finger food you can have as appetizers. They also have a salad bar I sort of enjoyed because of the arugula salad.
For the cooked food, they have some items like chicken wings, lemon chicken, breaded fish, yang chow rice, steamed vegetables, etc.
They also have dim sums and other Chinese favorites, plus staples from the Japanese cuisine. The salmon and tuna sashimi are stored in a glass display case, so you'll have to request for some slices from the servers manning the Japanese station.
So these were our plates. We tried to get a bite of everything, and they all tasted okay. Nothing really stood out.
But the real deal, the main event, and the part I was really looking forward to was their barbeque, which, unfortunately, had me disappointed, and it was all just because of one thing: they were out of beef. I can't walk out completely happy from a visit to a restaurant such as this without getting to eat BEEF! :(
They also have some shrimps and mussels for you to enjoy, and other hot pot items.
For desserts, they have donuts, ice cream with more than 3 flavors, some cake slices, cheesecakes, a halo-halo station, fruit slices, and a chocolate fountain.
I can't say that I was satisfied with our dining experience at Six Doors. It wasn't what I expected. They have a beautiful and really spacious place but they have to improve on their food if they want to charge their customers at their current rates. I would prefer to see more food choices and less empty trays on their counters.
P.S. They also have VIP rooms for a more private and intimate gathering.
