Bloom Restaurant at I'm Hotel

by - Friday, January 19, 2018

We booked for a massage at I'm Onsen, and one of the inclusions in their packages is a trip to their very own Bloom Restaurant.

We finished our massage a few minutes before 3pm, so we had no choice but to go for the hot pot buffet (see schedule below). Honestly, I would suggest that you make it to their other buffet schedules (and not the hot pot), since the hot pot wasn't that great. I made a separate review for the whole buffet, click the link below!

The Setup
They had two soups available: chicken, and sate. I was thrilled because I love sate, but I was also disappointed since theirs was really really really bland. I ended up gathering ingredients from their sauce station just to make it worth eating.

Cold Station
They have a cold station, where the salad and pasta salads are. I seriously loved one of their pasta salads which had some olives and bell peppers.

Japanese Station
Like any other buffet restaurant, this hot pot buffet also serves some makis, which were surprisingly good (and better than their meats, actually).

Noodles
There are also several noodles available for cooking.

Meats
They don't have a lot of meat available, and it's sad that they don't even have the sliced beef :(

Vegetables
How about some vegetables?

Sauces
The sauce station is another disappointing station. Earlier in this post, I mentioned that the sauce station is where I gathered most (if not all) of the ingredients for my soup. This station has several sauces and spices, and recipes on what to mix to get your favorite dipping sauces. Part of those recipes include the "hot pot sauce", which was nowhere to be found. When I asked their staff, I was told that the man who makes this sauce resigned, so there are no available hot pot sauces on our visit -_- not cool.

Desserts
Desserts were also few, and not all tasted great.

Again, I would suggest that you try their buffet instead of their hot pot if you really want to cross Bloom Restaurant off of your list. Also, you might want to get the spa package instead of paying just for the buffet because it really is worth spending for!

  1. I'M Hotel is one of the hotels in Makati I would love to try out. The buffet looks really good! I would love to treat myself to a spa and buffet night as well. That looks really relaxing. Love your review! Objective and honest. Keep it up!
