Gong Xi Fa Cai! Happy Chinese New Year! Have you figured out where you will be celebrating with your family? Because I know a little hidden restaurant that's perfect for this occasion.

Templo Modern Szechuan Fusion is a red and gold, temple-like restaurant located in Banawe. Like the name suggests, this restaurant serves fiery hot traditional and modern Szechuan dishes that will surely fire up you appetite, aside from our favorite Chinese cuisine staples.

Golden Squid Ink Hakaw P155
Your go-to Chinese dimsum made to look even more appetizing! The addition of squid ink may not have made such a great impact on the dish, but I did not see the need to prepare a toyo-mansi dip on this one, which is still a win for me.

Bean Curd Roll P118

 Salted Egg Tempura Shrimp P360
Templo joins the increasing popularity of salted egg dishes in the metro with their very own salted egg tempura shrimp. Crispy and packed with flavors of salted egg, this seafood creation is a definite crowd-pleaser.

Szechuan Signature Sliced Pork P298
Thinly sliced pork loaded with different kinds of chilies. If this doesn't make you grab a glass of water, then I don't know what will.

Pork Intestine in Chili Oil P265

Halibut Chong Qing Style P485

Topshell in Tsing Tao Sauce P685

Emperor's Secret Soup P865
I really liked the emperor's secret soup. You can taste a lot of herbs and spices in it, especially the ginseng and the sibut (which my Chinese friends out there would know).

 Yin Yang Fried Rice P265
This is my favorite out of everything we ate! It's a plate of fried rice topped with two different kinds of sauces: hot & sour and seafood spinach.

Yang Chow P252
Spicy yang chow fried rice!

Milo Coated Ice Cream P148

Avocado Coated Ice Cream P215
Both desserts tasted great, but I liked the milo coated ice cream more just because it came with milo cereals.

To rescue our tongues from the incredibly spicy food, we helped ourselves with Templo's signature drinks.

Alyu Jelly with Calamansi P128
Apple Perilla Juice P128
Tamarind Iced Tea P98
If you're the type of person who's into brewed tea, then you'll love the tamarind iced tea. I loved the slight bitterness from the brewed tea that complemented with the naturally sweet and sour taste of the tamarind.

Templo's Signature Milk Tea P115
What better to cleanse the palate from spicy food than a drink with a touch of milk? Templo's signature milk tea is a must-try!

Merchandise
Templo also sells a number of different items such as tikoy, salted egg chips, and lots of drinks!

Even a non-avid fan of Szechuan such as myself was able to enjoy the exciting combination of the fiery and herby flavors of Templo's dishes.
