Meet the Newest Milk Tea Shop Along Macapagal Ave: Mr. Tea

by - Tuesday, February 12, 2019

I can consider myself as one of the first people to discover this new tea place along Macapagal Ave. I pass by this shop while on my way to work every single day, and I've been meaning to give it a shot even before all their paid ads showed up on my Facebook and Instagram feeds, and thank goodness I finally went through with it!

Mr. Tea is a new tea place located just across City of Dreams in Paranaque. From afar, Mr. Tea is just a small and quaint tea shop, just like any other. I was wrong. I was in awe to see how spacious it is inside, and how it has a few instagram-worthy corners. It's much like a cafe where you can order a drink (and some pastries or desserts), sit down and spend some time talking with friends or finishing a report.

Their menu is quite extensive, although they do not have a wide selection of non-caffeinated drinks. I ordered their fresh passionfruit tea, while my siblings ordered their kao nai (which is supposedly their version of the wintermelon milk tea) and bubble milk tea.

I was not asked about any changes in my drinks' sugar or ice level. It's a good thing that the drink didn't turn out to be too sweet! Plus, their passionfruit tea had those seeds I enjoyed chewing. It also had two pieces of calamansi that gave the drink a more refreshing but not too sour taste.

I also tried my siblings drinks although I couldn't determine the difference between the two. Their pearls were perfectly cooked, although pretty sweet, so I suggest lowering the sugar level for drinks with these sinkers.

They also have pastries and desserts to go with your drinks, and will be offering some bread in the near future.

I highly recommend Mr. Tea to those looking for a quiet and spacious cafe with free wifi. Yes, their drinks are generally more expensive than what most milk tea places offer, but the comfort of the place is worth a few extra bucks.

P.S. They also have free deliveries on selected areas for a minimum purchase of P500!
