Sisters’ Date Night at Las Flores Spanish Restaurant

Here’s another Bistro Group restaurant we finally got to check off our list! I’ve been wanting to try Las Flores Spanish Restaurant mainly because of their amazing interiors, second because, well, Spanish food. Need I say more?

Every corner of this restaurant is just beautiful! I’m glad I chose to invite my sister here for a date night as it is a perfect place to have a quiet night to enjoy tapas - tita style. It’s also a great place to bring a special someone out for a date.

Salmon & Salmon ₱835 (4pcs)

We ordered their salmon & salmon - marinated salmon with dill, salmon roe, truffle cream, honey, and air baguette. I loved the combination of the dill, truffle cream, and salmon. They were also very generous with the ingredients for each piece of this appetizer.

Steak Tartar Tacos ₱695 (4pcs)

The last thing we decided to order from their menu is their steak tartar tacos. It actually seemed promising having beef, pickles, mustard, and topped with quail egg. Sadly, we should’ve just went for the angus & foie minis, which was our initial plan. We didn’t appreciate the combination of flavors of this dish.

Croquetas de Jamon Iberico ₱345

Ordering the Croquetas de Jamon Iberico is probably the easiest decision we made because just how can you ruin this tapa? It’s deep-fried, breaded roll with a creamy jamon filling. The filling was soft and creamy, and the breading is crunchy and not too thick.

Chipirones Andaluza ₱660

Another one of our favorites is their chipirones andaluza. It’s deep fried baby squid served with their kimchi mayo dip. We enjoyed it better after squeezing the lemon all over. It’s also great for sharing as serving size is huge.

Paella Negra ₱1,295

We were excited for their paella negra. It’s the one item on our list that’s already set in stone even prior to coming to the restaurant. We were a bit disappointed. We would’ve liked it better with more garlic aoili and lemon. We’ve tried other paella negras that tasted better than this one, which is also probably the reason why we had high expectations. We should have tried their other paellas instead.

Overall, we enjoyed the experience - getting to eat at this restaurant after work, but the food was just so-so. Thank goodness for Metrobank’s promo with Bistro group! Check out their promo mechanics here. You can also watch my Tiktok video here
