More and more influencers and celebrities are smartly investing in their own businesses. If not skincare or makeup, another go-to industry is the F&B, and Hungry Homies is one of them.
Hungry Homies is located in Chino Roces in Makati. It is owned by vlogger Laureen Uy and her now-fiance Miggy Cruz. It quickly gained popularity, and I just had to try it for myself.
Hypebeef Burger (Double) ₱350
The hypebeef burger is their take on the classic cheeseburger, with tomatoes, lettuce, American cheese, and their Homie secret sauce. I honestly loved this burger. The patty was flavorful and juicy, with just the right amount of thickness - just everything I was looking for. Nothing fancy, just a classic cheeseburger done right.
Purist (Double) ₱350
I also got to try their purist burger, and while it is different from the usual burgers we have, it is something that I also appreciated simply because I liked the combination of the pickle chips and mayo-mustard dressing. Yes, pickles do taste good in a burger!
The Homie special friends fries ₱180 come in a container that is good for sharing. It is made of your usual thinly cut potatoes with their Homie secret sauce and cheese sauce. Personally, I didn't like this just because I was hoping for their sauce to have more of an garlic or aoili taste to it rather than a sour sauce. Personal preference aside, it was delicious.
