Breakfast on Sunrise: Charito by Bag of Beans
Charito by Bag of Beans
Maharlika East, Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway, Tagaytay City
Our Bonifacio day adventure started at this beautiful place. Thank goodness this was our first stop, because we were able to watch the sunrise before finally feeding ourselves. We were also able to tour the restaurant and take photos without having difficulties.
My favorite part aside from the view of Taal? Their restroom and the function room beside it. I wasn't able to take pictures, but it seems that they designed their CR to make people want to eat in them lol! The function hall next to it is a perfect place to house any girl's sweet 16 party, with its pastel pink and blue theme.
This paradise opens at 6am, but they start the food preparations at 7am. Having arrived earlier, we ordered in advance and woke ourselves up with some of their drinks.
Breakfast Sampler P480 |
Their breakfast sampler is composed of two eggs, bacon strips, pork sausage, ham, hash brown and two buttermilk pancakes. The pancake is what I loved about this dish. It's fluffy and delicious, even without the aid of the syrup. But of course, adding syrup will made it better. The bacon was not too crispy, which I liked. Everything else was okay.
Country Breakfast P380 |
Their country breakfast is just their breakfast sampler without the ham and hash brown.
Belgian Waffle P260 |
Two waffles sandwiching blueberries, topped with more fruits and whipped cream for a sweet sweet morning. The waffles were a firmer inside than desired. It didn't seem like waffles.
Beef Tapa P310 |
Their beef tapa was also okay for me. I like my tapa either having a little more sour or salty taste. This had the flavors just right, but for it to be my kind of tapa, additional flavors must surface.
I loved the ambiance of the place. Service was okay. Pricing is a little higher compared to the quality of the food, but I can let it slide given the wonderful view and amount of serving.
My score:
Pricing – 3/5
Service – 3/5
Ambiance – 5/5
