More Than Just Cakes: Cafe Mary Grace

by - Friday, January 25, 2019

There are a lot of restaurants to have dinner in around SM Mall of Asia, but choosing just one of them proves to be insanely difficult. I don't remember how I came up with the decision to meet my friend at Cafe Mary Grace, but she got so excited when I suggested it, and so did I!

I've only been to Cafe Mary Grace once. It's always one of my options when eating out, but for some reason I always end up going for other restaurants. But this month, I finally got to come back and try more of their food.

Fried Kesong Puti and Calamansi Vinaigrette P288
I just came from a sickness and was told by the doctor to include more vegetables and fruits in my diet. This made us decide to have a bowl of their fried kesong puti with calamansi vinaigrette salad, and I was happy with it. I loved how light, refreshing, and not too zingy the dressing was. The kesong puti was also great since it's soft and had a balance of milky and salty.

Spanish Sardines & Olives Pasta P320
I've had their spanish sardines pasta before, although I think I liked it better this time around. I loved how I was able to really get the flavor of the sardines in the pasta without it being to salty.

Parma Ham & Arugula Pizza P508
The parma ham & arugula pizza is my friend's favorite, and I can totally understand why. The crust of this pizza was thin, and each slice was topped with just enough sauce (I hate it when a pizza becomes soggy from having to much base sauce). They also weren't stingy with the ham and cheese toppings, although I would've preferred more arugula (I just love arugula). I was also able to appreciate that all the flavors were incorporated so well in each pizza slice.

I have always known Cafe Mary Grace for their cakes and pastries, but now I am convinced that they are more than just that as they are serving delicious meals as well. I know I'll be visiting them more often.
