This southie foodie has once again found herself hungry for a new restaurant discovery while visiting Quezon City on a Sunday afternoon. And while I still have a lot on my long list of restaurants to try, I decided it’s about time to take Ramen Butcher off that list.

Nothing is more comforting on a bad or rainy day than a hot bowl of ramen with a rich broth. So when you feel like having a quiet dinner by yourself or with some friends without the long lines or the crowd, then this is the place for you.

I always pass by this small and simple Japanese restaurant in Glorietta and they always had a long line of people waiting to get seated. Since I’m a curious foodie, of course I had to try it.

It’s been a while since I’ve last been to a buffet restaurant. With the increasing price of goods, I just thought that those eat-all-you-can places I used to frequent no longer offers the same quality of food. But when I saw this offer from Century Park Hotel’s : Century Tsukiji restaurant, I did not even think twice and reserved a table for a Sunday lunch with the family.

I'm sure you have heard of this relatively new ramen shop that opened in Rockwell, Makati. It's been the talk of the town even since before it opened, partly because it is from the same champions that brought us the well-loved Mendokoro Ramenba.

I've known Go Bento for quite some time now. I've always wanted to try it as they offer Japanese bento meals at a really budget-friendly price. I figured I could cross it off my list when I'm looking for a heavy meal but did not have much to spend.

Adulting is really tough. You have bills to pay and a monthly salary to budget, and it gets even tougher when you have to buy lunch or eat out every single day. If you work around BGC area, looking for affordable and filling meals seem impossible, but Motto Motto made it simpler for us with their newest lunch sets.

Maisen is a famous restaurant from Japan known for their pork tonkatsu. But though this restaurant prides itself with its delicious tonkatsu recipe, they are also home to a lot of other no-fail Japanese dishes, both classic and modern.

What motivates you to get up and jump out of bed every morning? While we can agree that our overwhelming day-to-day responsibilities can pretty much do the trick, doesn't the thought of starting the day with a sumptuous breakfast spark a bit of excitement?

Ebi10 has 2 locations across Metro Manila, and they offer sumptuous Japanese dishes like makis and chahan rice, but the most notable of all is their tempura basket. I haven't actually heard of Ebi10 prior to my visit at Courtyard 453, so I was really excited to get a taste of their offerings. Their #ControlYourTempura signage didn't help, and even added to this excitement!

Everyone knows how much Filipinos love Japan! It's a country we admire in terms of tourism, culture, technological advancements, and of course, FOOD! So for those of you who misses and longs for the land of the rising sun and their crave-worthy cuisine, Mcdonald's has a treat for you!

Courtyard 453 is the newest food destination at Greenhills, San Juan. The name came from the concept "Food Courtyard" where you can take a gastronomic adventure with 5 different cuisines all in the same venue. It is an upscale version of a food hall or food park and involves a pay-as-you-order system, but they have waiters ready to assist you to your tables.

It's been years since I've been in Greenhills, and I was just so surprised to see how much it has changed since the last time I was there, including this restaurant just across Promenade.

It's sad that Chelsea Grand Cafe at Serendra had to close down. But as they say, when one door closes, another one opens. This time around, it's a Modern Japanese Restaurant with the same cute interiors as Chelsea.

It seems that the ever favorite matcha from Japan has found itself in a tight competition with the come back of the milk tea craze in the Philippines.

I haven't always been a fan of sashimi or other sushi items. Back then, all I can eat from the Japanese cuisine were the California makis, tempura, or basically anything cooked. But this changed early last year, and as I craved for a salmon sashimi, I couldn't think of any other place to get it than this place I've been meaning to try.
